If the gelation time is too short, the quality will be affected because the glue is sticky and impermeable in the construction. On the contrary, if it is not gelated for a long time, it will cause the loss of resin glue and the volatilization of cross-linking agent, resulting in incomplete curing and reduced strength.

③ curing degree: complete curing is an important condition to ensure product quality. From the point of view of the process, the degree of curing is divided into demoulding temperature and strength. The former is to ensure that the product has demoulding strength, so that the product can be removed from the mold without damage, while the latter requires the product to reach the use strength.

Generally, the curing degree in the production process is controlled by adjusting the formula. For hand paste products, it is hoped that the demoulding can be controlled in 24 hours, and the longer the time is, it will affect the production efficiency. When the room temperature is lower than 15 ℃, appropriate heating or heat preservation measures should be taken.

3. Glue coat paste preparation:

The glue coat paste is used to make the surface glue coat layer, and its function is to improve the weather resistance, water resistance and chemical corrosion resistance of the products, and prolong the service life.

Because the gel coat resin has thixotropy, it should be fully stirred when in use; the thickness of the coating should be controlled at about 0.25 to 0.4 mm; when the gel coat layer begins to gel, immediately paste the FRP and release the mold after complete curing; when using the gel coat resin layer, pollution or infiltration of small air bubbles between the gel coat layer and FRP should be prevented.

4. Preparation of hand paste molding tools:

The most commonly used hand paste forming tools are scissors, brushes, scrapers, scrapers, round grinders, polishing machines, electric drills and so on.
